Stage 2 Presets on Stage

Hi

The Little Phatty Stage II Sound Bank is downloadable from the LP Download section on the Moog website. I’m wanting to put this soundbank on my LP Stage Edition, but do I have to do this by using the LP Editor Librarian? Is there another way?

On another note, I left the LP in a cold room overnight recently. The next day, the LP was pretty much uncontrollable, with the knob lights lighting up all over the place. When I pushed a key, the noise produced was totally different to the usual preset sound. I left it a couple of days, and it’s working fine again now. Has anyone had this experience before?

Cheers for any advice, Chris.

Chris-
There are recommended programs that can send the sysex files without buying the editor.
‘MIDI-OX’ is a free windows-based program that is pretty straight forward. I don’t have experience with USB direct cables, as my Tribute has only MIDI connectors.

That must have been a COLD place you left your Phatty. I haven’t read anywhere on this forum of similar problems relating to temperature.

Good luck-

How cold is “cold”?

Well, Up here in Maine, that would be about -25F. But throw in some wind, heh, -50f or so. Thank goodness it only lasts a few months.

I would imagine the Phatty is designed to operate at 40f>100f. May even say in the manual-sometime I’ll get around to reading it.

omfg..that’s SUPERCOLD

Magnet- Thanks for that, I’ll look into it. It’s just the original Stage Edition I have, so there is no USB connectivity for me either, I trust 5 pin will suffice!

Temperature wise, I’m guessing it was around 5-6 Celsius, so just above 40 Fahrenheit. I assumed the temporary problems with operation were down to this low temperature, because it’s the first time the LP has behaved this way, and quite probably the coldest environment it’s been in. However, it may well just have been a coincidence. Has anyone else experienced a temporarily inoperative LP?

Cheers, Chris.
