Ah yes, now I see the light. I somehow must of read over/missed step 5 as well as missing the crucial words ‘appear under the root tree’ in the instructions.
I can now share the SPH’s USB Midi ports between Sonar and the SPHE quite happily indeed. So #5 is resolved.

Regarding my feature requests…
With regards to the feature requests I posted below: I think you may have misunderstood me. I am not suggesting firmware changes, but rather software in the SPHE plugin itself that can generate MIDI modulation.
a) an LFO algorithm makes midi automation live - it can be tedious drawing in LFO like automation in your DAW all the time.
b) MIDI notes from the Host are seen by the plugin and it gets manipulated to generate OSC2 Tuning.
I have seen a few VST Plugins do this for less powerful synths like the Korg Volca series. Its just fancy MIDI manipulation, really. Very cool to have something like that built into the SPHE, I think. Just a thought.
