SOT: Rush/Geddy Lee Honored

There’s a British magazine called “Classic Rock” that I dug up in my local Borders book store, this month honoring Rush/Geddy Lee as this year’s “Living Legend”. There’s a blow up (across two large format pages) of the famous pic of Geddy in front of his rig donning double neck git-ar and Oberheim/Moog gear and a good story. On the cover (pictured below) John Paul Jones stands in front and the caption says “Rush? I have all their albums”.

If you’re a fan, have a look for it; it’s rare that Rush are honored but lots of well deserved publicity on the heels of the “I Love You Man” movie with Paul Rudd and of course the Time Machine Tour. I haven’t seen this type of ‘popular’ press since Parade magazine listed Geddy as the best (reader voted) Bass player several years in a row. This was in 1979 or so.

What’s next? R&R Hall of Fame? As Colbert said “…is there any chance your next album will be called ‘Thats Bullsh!t’ ?” http://www.videocure.com/video/183087.html
