A bit of a strange one here. Recently some of the keys stopped working on my Subsequent 37. Mechanically, they’re fine. They just stop producing sound. Adding to the mystery, it’s every 8th key, chromatically, that doesn’t work: C1, A-flat1, E2, C3, and A-flat3. Any thoughts on what’s causing this? Something I can fix, take it to my local tech, or send it back to Moog?
Do the keys in question work when you play it from a controller? I would definitely contact Moog support but if it works via midi then at least you can keep on truckin’ in the meantime.
Good question. I just checked, and I can trigger those notes from another midi controller. So, I’m guessing that means its a keyboard issue on the Moog then.
Every 8th? Sounds like a broken line in the flat cable or not proper connecting connector of the keyboard data line. If you know what to do, you can check this yourself.
