SOLD Moog Polymoog 203A with Custom Built Road Case and Legs

Moog Polymoog 203A - Includes custom built hard case, legs, and power cord. Definitely a technician’s project, or for someone that will get it sent it to the right tech, I have contacted a tech already and obtained a “ballpark” figure of around $600 + shipping both ways to totally restore this. Powers on and lights up but does not sound. No further testing done. Appears to have everything intact electronically, no obviously missing circuit boards, polycom boards, etc, but I did not completely disassemble. This is a one owner instrument (besides me), who was a touring musician in the 70s/80s and sent it back to Moog a few times for repair and updates, as you can tell its an older sn…1442. Keybed needs work. Overall needs some elbow grease cosmetically and a couple weekends on the tech bench and a big bag of mostly common components to get going. Fully restored worth over $2000 without a road case. As is/for parts/restoration. ***$500 local pickup in Kansas City or Des Moines. Ships in road case only, estimated cost to be around $175 in the continental US but buyer to pay actual cost (will be refunded any difference).

This looks more like it was salvaged from a scrap yard…

But good luck selling it, still.

I pulled the lid off so one could look at the innards…it does come with the lid. Really not in terrible shape, IMHO, just needs to be cleaned and repaired.

Regardless, its got one leg out the door right now…just generated a shipping label for its new owner. Sold within a couple hours of posting.

And what ? It’s missing a leg too ?

Fantastic. Seriously. Glad to see another Moog rescued from the claws of old age.

Yup, going to a technician who will either revive it or use it to revive another one, so not such a bad fate for it. Better than sitting broken in my garage, where it is right now until I take it to UPS. I got it in a lot, I did not purchase the Polymoog with the intent to keep it, unless I sold some of my other stuff to pay for the same tech I sold it to to work on it…but the shipping back and forth and everything just kills any economy in that. I bought it to get a good deal on some other stuff…like a Micromoog and a few crates of disks for my samplers… Micromoog works right now, needs a good cleanup but wasn’t expecting it work fully honestly. :sunglasses:
