Sequenced to 1:40, live thereafter. Played on an Edirol PCR-M30 under FL Studio 9. Recorded in three takes layered on each other, each time with the Arturia Minimoog V VST. Because I was lazy, I only mapped (and barely used) the pitch bend and cutoff, and then, only in a single take. Still, I thought it wasn’t a bad shot at a semi-improvised proggy solo.
Just to avoid confusion, the pad take (panned center) is actually a polyphonic Minimoog, an effect I believe which comes by dupicating the VCO bank for every note and then piping all the output through a single filter. Or something, it’s a trick in my VST. X3
EDIT: I forgot to mention, the synth at the very start is NOT a Minimoog, but Sytrus, an FM synth configured here to give my lush ambient pad sound. You should know Minimoogs when you hear them, though. X3
