Just discovered the beauty of tube amps. Anyone here use 2 amps in stereo with either the murf or phaser.
I have the Phaser but I go through a PA board with Stereo delay and reverb. I have many amps but my pride 'n joy is my Matchless DC30 which I bought new in the mid 90s. Now that is an amp!
I’ve got a Dual Rectifier, yes tubes are incredible. At the moment I can’t afford a stereo setup, but maybe eventually I’ll get another amp to do this… I hear some Lovetone pedals are insane in stereo! so far I haven’t got any Moogerfoogers, though I’ve already payed for my SD

using two amps with the phaser is awsome. after buying it a few weeks ago, i’ve reworked my entire set up to take advantage of the stereo phasing.the sound just rolls at you like cork skrew. i prefer tube amps. i’ve got my eye out for a couple of fender delux reverbs, i think that would sound pretty lush with the phaser in sterio.
also having a cv pedal tied to sweep gets some really cool phase distorstion when your levels are set just right.
its my new favorite effect. it was really tough finding somthing i liked more than my old ada flanger!

The Fender Deluxe Reverbs are wonderful. Such a versatile amp.

I’m a tube amp snob, but became a convert with the Vox Valvetronix. They modeled not just the preamp but also the tube power amp (circuit has an actual tube in it!), which is where the TONE is. Really a versatile amp, and it breathes like a tube amp.
I got the mono 60w head, if I want stereo effects I’ll do it through the console.

k, i already kinda posted this in my speaker topic but i’m gonna re post here. have any of you guitar tube amp guys who use a lot of foogers played into a p.a. system or a computer? cause it seems to me every time i do this my foogers sound absolutely amazing with a really clean setup like a pa or computer system. when i run it through my guitar amp (marshall valvestate) i really don’t get the frequency response that i do with the other setup.
i know that a pa speaker setup will have a much broader freq range than a guitar amp. so i guess my question is have any of you guitarists noticed this difference? and have any of you found really good tube amps that have a big freq range? i guess i’m asking the guitarists who use the foogers as a synth and not so much as effects
I find that tube amps tend to have a lot of their own character, to the point where it detracts or muddles the moogerfoogers’ sound… not to mention that the frequency range on guitar amps are so limited. I’m not so much concerned with the super-high frequencies as I am with the bass response, so I’ve thought about looking into an ampeg, but… I’m not keen on shelling out big bucks for any less than the perfect sound. I know exactly where you’re coming from though, Duke… going directly to monitors, the MF’s really shine… esp. when I’m using the control processor or the ring mod. It’s so much more… pristine. But so quiet, and just the guitar sounds kinda flat and lifeless.
I heard the Roland JC-120’s are extremely clean with a nice frequency response (lots of keyboardists use it, but… keyboards aren’t necessarily synths)… I’m thinking I might need a JC-120 or a similarly super clean amp for my more powerful effects, and pair it in stereo with an Orange or Matamp for a clean or distorted guitar sound. I just hope the Jazz Chorus is all it’s presumably cracked up to be… some people swear by it, but then aqain others detest it. I’ll never know till I try out for myself… I wish music shops would let me bring in my all my pedals…
Every amp maker should list frequency response.
Is there a perfect amp out there for the kind of extremes the moogerfooger can dish out, yet still function as a gig-worthy guitar amp? Anyone?
I’ve got a fender twin - bought new around 98. Not the best out there, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Run various guitars, pedals, effects- oberheim gm1000, preamp- marshall jmp1, and other stuff. All works out fine.
If you want clean and loud, my vote goes for a Roland Jazz Chorus. Also, they are stereo so you can run your MFs in stereo 
i have a couple of cheap/low end amps that i use. a peavy 100 watt combo w/one 12" and then a valvestate head with a 4x12" cab. i think the mf’s sound really good through them considering the limitations of the amps.
after messing around with all my pedals more and some other stuff i’d definitely like to get a mixing board and then some kind of amp/pa/? that can handle to whole range of frequencies. like when i get a really bassy sound i hate that i have to stop the sound so i don’t damage the speakers and it just farts out anyway.
I have a Fender Deville 2x12 with Webber speakers, its a very clean amp with this Surf music sound to it. I also have a small 1976 Fender Vibrochamp to use in my home recording studio (My room). Both of them sound very nice with the Moogerfoogers, specially, with the Vibrochamp. To get the most out of the Foogers I would always use a tube amp.
I have a Mesa MkIV, and I love it. That’s all I have to say. 
Update; The Recto was sold recently because I wasn’t too happy with the cleans. Next amp is gonna be a Diezel Einstein 1x12 w/reverb 
, already talked to Peter Stapfer of Diezel and mine is being made right now . Has both a parallel and a serial effects loop, not to mention gorgeous clean and distorted sounds

i put my soul on lease for awhile so i could purchase a 64 deluxe reverb. once i get to know her a little better i’ll get specific and update the post. rumour is the MURF and Delay are quite the couple, and i’ve got the MURF, so my question is does anyone know where i can hear that in action through a guitar?

i use a marshall jcm2000 dsl100 combined with one of my mf104’s and one of my mf102’s and my gibson les paul custom modded w/ emg active pick-ups. i think this set-up has some amazing textures… the noise floor is a little bit higher than i would normally like it, but it just sounds soo amazing that i have all but stopped hearing the noise.
I’ve got a Dr. Z MAZ-18 combo and a Fargen Blackbird, which is a boutique version of a blackface Deluxe Reverb. I don’t get to run them in stereo often enough, since the other guitarist in my band is sort of permanently “borrowing” the Z, but I’ve run my delay and my MuRF in stereo for recording and they sound absolutely incredibe. Stereo delay is to die for…
BTW, the Fargen isn’t a well known amp but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great Deluxe Reverb sound-- absolutely kills any modern Fender you put it up again, and gives the old ones a serious run for their money…
