Hi!

Today I was reprograming my Akai MPK-25 to get a maximum control over advanced preset parameters and some others in Slim Phatty.
So I tried to find some of them, which were not mentioned in the manual.

I discovered:
Volume sensitivity CC 92
Glide Legato on/off CC 94
LFO Keyboard trig on/off/auto CC 93
All MIDI notes off CC123
and strange one which I don’t know what the hell it is CC64
some kind of sustain and then dead…
And in the ARP CLK Divider’s CC115 value of 127 is Global setting

But there is no Envelope Generator Release Off CC111
And I don’t know if ModWheel values can really be saved. I tried but without any effect.


I also noticed that if you turn Volume knob just a little, volume jumps for the note that you hold,
but with new note on, it is the same as before.

Here is a list of CC numbers that are free of any function:
2,8,12,13,14,17,20,34,35,37-50,52-64,66,67,70,71,72,73,76,78-87,89,93-101,111,120,121,122,124,125,126,127.

If anybody know for some more hidden CCs let me know!

And I want to add few more things…
It’s sad there is no triplets for LFO and ARP.
ARP is great but it would be much better is you could have a option turning ARP off and still have a note on (the one you pressed).
It would be also nice to program LFO/ARP CLK divisions in a limited zone… for example from 1/6 to Whole note. Ti is damn hard to get specific time division on whole scale of possibilities.

For future updates this are must! If it is a matter of software
OSC Reset (like the one on the Minitaur)
CV In routing options (like the Minitaur :smiley: ) this would be superb! - It would be great to run a triangle LFO for PWM and have a onboard LFO for other things.
Different Glide portions
LFO Delay parameter
Second modulation destination Amount parameter
More modulation destinations (at least in MIDI fashion)
Volume parameter in preset
Looping Envelopes

I missed CC 88 EGR Release on/off that I was searching for, thanx for that!

You could add CC 94 - Glide Legato to your list :wink:
It is usable, especially with ARP if you drive it from DAW and have stacatto lines.

I need a new controller with more switches! :confused:

Oh, just one more thing.
How can I program mod wheel values to preset?
It is frustrating playing with a band, changing presets and thinking about the modwheel.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Another thing that bothers me is Pot mapping. It is great function, but mappings are reversed. So the max values is min value.
And is there a way to program let say a filter pot to control cutoff and resonance controls at the same time?

#1: keep the wheel at max and use to LFO amount the adjust mod depth. It is saved with each preset.
