Always a good idea to let the analog gear warm up before making any kind of calibration or tuning adjustments. In general, let the gear warm up a good 20 to 30 minutes before use, and you should be fine.
You may have inadvertently knocked your SP way out of tune with the method you were using.
Recommend you let the SP warm up, then run ALL 3 calibration routines in the order they’re listed in the manual. It will take 1 to 2 hours to run everything, but it’s generally well worth it!
After that, as long as you let the SP warm up before playing or making adjustments, you should be good to go.
I ran the complete set of calibration routines on my three Phatty’s over three months ago, and haven’t had to make any tuning adjustments since ~
But I definitely let them warm up good before each playing session!
