The link is still dead. When I tried to save rather than download, I received the following response: “The requested URL was not found on this server.”
I was able to download a 1.6kb file, but it won’t function. ![]()
Try again, I don’t know what was wrong with my previous link.

I just downloaded and opened this one; the sysex looks correct.
Sweet Success!!
Thanks, Amos. ![]()
How do I load the sounds into my Phatty?
I have the Little Phatty Editor that I usually use to manage my sounds but the .syx wont load or open in the editor.
I also tried it in Cubase 5 but that wont load or import the file either.
Is there another way?
here, have some copypasta. ![]()
First for Windows (MIDI-OX), then for Mac (SysEx Librarian)
WINDOWS:
MidiOX is available for free from http://www.midiox.com
Download and install (for PC only)
To send patches to the Little Phatty from your computer:
You must connect a cable from the MIDI OUT on your computer to the MIDI IN jack on your Little Phatty. (or use USB to the Phatty if you have it)
Be aware that if you are sending a single preset, it will automatically replace whatever preset is currently active on your Little Phatty. So, before you send a preset as a sysEx file from your computer to the Little Phatty, go to Preset mode on the Little Phatty and use the Value knob to select the preset which you wish to replace.
an “All Presets” file will (not surprisingly) replace all presets in your Little Phatty
In MidiOx, go back to the Sysex view window (View menu + choose Sysex, if you just opened the program)
Click on File and choose Send Sysex File.
select the sysex file you want to send, and hit OK.
The Little Phatty LCD display will show “Receiving Preset” very briefly, and then you should see the new preset displayed on the Little Phatty LCD. If you are sending a bank of all patches, the transfer will take slightly longer and all 100 presets in the Little Phatty will be replaced by the presets from the SysEx file.
MACINTOSH:
SysEx Librarian is a free program for Mac OSX. It can be found at http://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/ .
Documentation for the software is located at http://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/docs.html
Download and install the SysEx Librarian software. When you open it you will find a simple “file player” interface (similar to ITunes). There is a drop-down menu at the top of the Sysex Librarian window labeled “Destination;” use this to select the MIDI interface that connects your Little Phatty to the computer.
drag and drop the .syx file into SysEx Librarian and click Play to send the presets to the Phatty.
Thanks a lot!!!
That Sysex Librarian is a nice little tool!!
Got it working now! Some nice Phat new basses in those presets!
Nice sounds, thanks. But the arpeggiator does not work with the slim phatty presets on the LP. Any users who can confirm this?
It is working on my LP SE, but the arpeggiato clock is set per default to MIDI clock in all presets. So if your LP is not receiving MIDI clock
then the arp will not work in the default setting. And I don’t if the arp is always enabled in all presets. Did you check the arp menu settings?
thanks for posting! Got it to work
After trying all sounds I just reset to my own bank though ![]()
Thanks for your help. Another question: Do I have to activate (change manually in the master menu from midi clock to internal) the arp for each and every sound separately or is there a master change command?
thanks ![]()
Yes, you need to set the Arpeggiator options for every preset separately. If I remember correctly then this little issue should
be changed in the upcoming LP OS release 3.0, so that the Arp setting can be done on the global level.
Regards
Many thanks for your response and your answer. ![]()
