Slim Phatty presets for LP users?!

I heard that the Slim Phatty comes with new and different presets to the LP.
If thats the case, is there a way for us LP users to get the presets too? Or could any SP users upload them for us?

To run the SP presets on an LP, the LP needs to have OS 3.0 or higher which is not out yet. Any day now.

@SirNose - any idea if Amos was able to get the Velocity->Amplitude Env code (discussed in another thread) in place for this release? My personal opinion is that that would make the LP significantly more expressive. I’m hoping :slight_smile:

Not that I know of. I remember he said maybe, but I think it’s more likely something that will be on a later update.

I’ll still see what I can do… last night we made some big steps towards getting an OS 3 field update to work on the Little Phatty, so we’re getting close. I’ll look at the code again in the next week or so and see if I can get a volume velocity response in there. There’s really almost no room left, though. For instance I suspect there’s room to implement the feature itself but I’m really concerned there’s not room to add a menu to allow you to adjust it! We’ll soon see.

You don’t need the new OS to use the Slim presets, though… they should work in any Phatty.

Thanks for the link. Sorry for the misinformation. Presets in the past have not always been back compatible. I assumed they were not released for the same reason. Once, again proving the problem with assumptions.

So with so little room left how does that fair for future LP OS updates? Are we at the end of the line for features? Interested to know a little of the back-channel conversation regarding how that might work out from a development perspective. I’ve always written code for devices with little or no memory limits so it’s interesting to hear how you guys will handle it here.

Yes, an entire new sound bank (I think) :confused: . Created by at least 3 different pro sound designers.
