I don’t know specifically about Apogee Duet and Logic (I use RME FF800 and Cubase), but generally you use the Midi/USB interface to send midi data from Logic/computer to the SP, and an audio input in the sound card for the incoming audio signal.
Your M-Audio Oxygen 49 connects either directly to the SP, if you want to controll it manually.
Or you connect it to the computer and route the incoming midi signal from the keyboard out to the SP through Logic. That way you can record the midi signal, play manually or use recorded midi from Logic - whatever you want.
You would hook a 1/4 inch line out cable to the breakout cable in apogee duet for audio out.
You cannot get Audio over USB.
Everything works great in logic.
You use the USB to send and receive midi data with your DAW. So you can sequence something in your DAW and control the LP with it… or play the LP and record the midi notes with your DAW.
ah amazing thanks so much for your reply, ah wicked so means I will not need to get shoot of my Duet that’s great news then. Happy to hear it works great with Logic. Does it come with a GUI so you can control the hardware abit like what Virus TI does or is it all hardware base and then you control it over MIDI CC??
It does’nt come with a GUI, but there is a VST editor that you can buy from Moog.
It basically works the same as what you were saying, it’s a VST gui that loads up in your DAW and you can edit it and program it from your computer instead of the hardware itself… You can also save and load patches etc.
