I already have a cp-251, I don’t have a voyager, just foogers and other cv controlled effects and synths. Is the VX-351 going to have different controls for my gear that the CP-251 doesnt’?
VX-351 is near useless without a Voyager, VOS or RME.
The only functions that will work are the MULTs (2 x 4 jack) and attenuators (2). Both are passive controls and you can wire these up on a breadboard with about $15 in parts if you really need these.
Save your $$ for something else.
If you can get your hands on a MP-201 you should jump on it because it will provide for you:
-Midi sync’d LFOs
-Envelopes
-A way to build a library of presets for your MF pedals
-Midi to CV should you delve into modular or analog DIY which track to 1V / octave
Thanks for the info, the pedal is very cool, how much do they go for used? I think down the road another cp-251 will be in order.
Yeah, it’s expensive just for mults and attenuators.
I think that if you get very lucky, you maybe can see a 201 go for 400 but people like to generally double that.
You can always go modular!
