I have an opportunity to buy a secondhand Anniversary edition for around 1/2 new price in perfect condition with ver.2 with Moog case .I already have the original Mini, should i jump in and get it?
1/2 price is the key here. Your $1500 will be well spent. Can’t go wrong here, even though your already have the original mini. Get it.
Are you saying a Voyager (regardless of model) w/ case for roughly $1500? Is this a joke? Was it abused?
If you can afford it and enjoy your current Mini you’d be a fool to not take the offer (as long as it is in proper condition).
IMO the Voyager is a slightly different beast than the Model D but they are both fantastic and complement each other Veeery nicely! Think, a duophonic MiniMoog setup. Very Nice indeed!!
He did say AE version. That’s an excellent price and perhaps a buddy is hooking him up. But from what I’ve gathered through sources is moog has saturated the market here with all these different voyager editions. You have the original performer, signature, AE, and EB. As a result they don’t hold their resale value well. Maybe signatures will, but then you have some AE with signatures floating around too. I feel if you’ve paid $2300+ for a used mint AE/EB v2 then you’ve paid to much. Let’s see how many different version of the new intrument (if announced at musik messe) they produce.
Thanks for the help, remember this is Australian price of $2750,it usually goes for $4700 new here,it’s been in aircon studio and one owner and no imperfections both in looks and handling,is version 2 reliable software, anyone had any problems?
Have you thought about just getting it from the states then? That asking price is close to what a new one will run you in US currency depending on dealer. So it cost a little more to ship, but you’ll have a brand new one with v3 possibly. There are no problems with v2 software. v3 is really just the memory expansion for more patch storage.
