In case I end up having to ship my Phatty once it’s sold (had to resort to evilBay), will the original box be sufficient or do I need additional packaging? I bought mine from Big City Music so I did not get the chance to see how Moog originally shipped the Phatty.

Deffinately box the original box within a real shipping rated box. I don’t know why Moog chose such a flimsy box for the LP. It is no doubt not intended for shipping.

Does he have an actual store front and retail location? I always thought it was mail-order only. I had called a couple times about coming by to check out some gear and his response gave me the impression that there wasn’t an actual shop to go to. Interesting…
I was speaking about ordering from his website/ebay store. so I don’t know if he has a “brick and mortar” store. I can tell you he shipped me a moogerfooger in about as fast as I could imagine.

I’ve ordered from Big City Music once before and it went well.
I originally entered my billing number wrong and he had called to confirm, and was very friendly on the phone – and also plenty fast.
Plus, the item (non-Moog) in this case was packed well enough to survive a few nuclear explosions.
Not really a ‘store front’ per say. He’s got a small space with a demo room that’s packed full of analog goodness.
