Shipping Delays

Has anyone else experienced a long delay in receiving products from Moog and is this a common occurrence with them?

Over 2 months ago I submitted an order for a Voyager Select Series through a 3rd party vendor and I’ve yet to receive it. This week I was finally given an explanation to why there is now a delay, however it doesn’t necessary explain why it was delayed to begin with. Moog gave a false shipping ETA a couple of weeks ago, then they neglected to share that they wouldn’t be meeting that shipment date . Now they will not give an ETA, so I may be waiting another month or several months for my order.

I can’t express enough how disappointed I am with this experience, I feel as if Moog isn’t concerned with their customers and are solely riding on their elite “name”. I was so excited to finally get my hands on a Moog, especially the Voyager and at this point i’ve lost all anticipation and I’m loosing interest. The lack of communication and no expected date for shipping is absolutely unprofessional.

There are plenty of other options available, they may not offer the same quality or sound. But, I’m left wondering if I can find greater satisfaction and better treatment by other brands. I do really hope that this is a rare occurrence and it will be resolved soon.

You’re ordering a custom instrument from a small company, so consider that.

I think they may have just moved their factory also.

Check your spambox; I lost several emails from Moog regarding the Taurus pedals and nearly had my order cancelled…

A simple call to customer service would instantly set you right I think.

You ordered through a 3rd party. So who really dropped the ball?
Why didn’t you either buy an in stock unit from the 3rd party or direct from Moog for a custom unit? Then you would have dropped a layer of complication and known what the delay would be.
(And if you think that is bad, try buying modular synth modules from most of the manufacturers. A year wait is common after you pay.)
