Sharing a CV pedal using a TRS A/B box

Have been looking on this site and googling the web and haven’t been able to find an answer…

I’m in the planning stages of a small switching system for a new rack, and since part of the plan includes two pedals that can use CV to adjust parameters in real-time with a CV pedal, was kinda wondering if, to consolidate space and keep the pedalboard real-estate small, it was possible to use a TRS A/B box to share the pedal.

So, the pedals I’m looking at with CV control are the Mini-fooger Chorus and the Sound Sculpture Volcano. The CV pedal most likely to be used would be a Yamaha FC7. Looking at the TRS A/B box by Loop-Master if this is doable. I know that the Volcano can use midi, but kinda just wondering about the CV aspect in case freeing up midi cc’s and stuff by using the CV instead would benefit my setup. I’m also thinking that I may need to swap the tip-ring-sleeve connections at the pedal-end of the CV cable if the implementation is different on those two pedals/effects, I haven’t researched yet how they use CV.

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice! Peace!

I think it is possible, though I haven’t tried it myself. Anyone?..

Hi all,

I posted this on another forum i frequent, Huge Racks Inc, i got some answers after about a week from some cool users… this config is not something that is very common i suppose… here are the links to devices that i was shown…

http://www.sourceaudio.net/products/too … roller.php
http://missionengineering.com/?product=expressionator-2
http://www.americanloopers.com/collections/custom-made/products/4-way-trs-expression-pedal-splitter-with-on-off-switches-and-leds

although its pricey, the mission engineering device is really powerful, and the LED’s are uber-cool! lol

but i do like the price of the american loopers product…
