Setup slider knobs do not track click position

0.9.29
OSX

Setup page
Bottom panel
Global Settings
LCD Contrast and LED Brightness
Slider knobs do not track click position.

Click close to the left edge, the knob lands to the right of the pointer.
Click near the right edge, the knob lands way to the left of the pointer.

Thanks Mike,

Are these two about the same issue ? This is how the sliders GUI is made, the sliders won’t go completely left or right, leaving some “space”, as on some types of hardware.

Hi, Gil!

Yes, I recognize that the slider knob image will not go completely to the extremes.
This problem is more like: you click and the image doesn’t go to where you click.
Is it related to the scaling on the knobs? I don’t know – hadn’t thought of it like that.

Thanks, yes I see it. Still a very trivial issue (if at all, as you are really supposed to drag those sliders basically).

Hi,

The problem is still there in 0.9.31.

Now Also in the Editor Page..
All sliders has now this problem.
Not so strong as the Setup page/LCD Contrast and LED Brightness.
But They are jumping.

Regards Luloop

Ok, then. Make sure that gets into the manual!

Editor documentation has been updated to make this clear.

Groovy.

Here’s a “fun” game I play with it:

  • drag the slider to the far right, per the recommended method
  • click directly on the silver knob of the slider
  • it jumps to the left
  • click on it again
  • again it jumps to the left
  • goto step 2

There are only three sliders that act this way: LCD Contrast, LED brightness, and Sequencer Swing.
The 8 sliders associated with the two LFOs do not act like this.

Nice catch, reported.
