sequencing model d with mp201

is it possible to use Logic to sequence a model d using the mp201?

It should be able to handle that.

You could probably modify preset #27 to take the incoming MIDI messages from Logic and output the corresponding CV’s.

Playing a Model D using Logic or Sonar through an MP-201 would be a really great demo of the power of the 201.

thanks for the reply. I seem to have trouble getting a s-trig to function correctly. What settings do I need to adjust to get the gate out to s-trig to function correctly?

Maybe this will help.

Apparently synth.com sells a cable for this purpose too.

So what’s up? What happened here? I’m wondering if I could do this too!

I’ve been researching is all over the web, & I’m gathering that this is not possible because an s-trig needs a higher voltage to open the envelope of the model d, and the mp201 is not equipped for this.

Am I correct in this? Amos? Anyone in the know here?

There are devices that ARE equipped for is like the doepfer mcv4, Kenton pro-solo, etc. I was hoping to sort of get 2 birds with 1 stone on this…while I’m spending the money, why not get a piece that can work with the model d as well as the cv’s of my foogers, minimoog & other synths…

If the voltage is not high enough, boost it.
