I reported 3 fake/scam listings today for Minimoog D’s!
be careful guys…hate to see someone get scammed out of good hard earned money!
They all had the same “G-mail” email address…using photos of just recently sold Mini’s
also nice to see Ebay has made it a little easier to “report” Scam/Fake listing
as soon as i reported them they were pulled/closed!
i have reported in the past and it used to take Ebay a little while for them to do something about it…
Evading the ebay contact system by insisting on outside contact is a sure sign that a member’s account has been hijacked and is a scam. Very common scam I’m afraid, all we can do is report them.
^^^As i did^^^ ![]()
yeah i saw those! i thought it was pretty fishy one person had 3 identical minimoogs for sale
New one today, Moog Voyager XL $2000. I reported it and the ones from yesterday.
I’mdone with eBay. I just bought a “new” Little Phatty with about a year’s worth of studio film and fingerprints on it and eBay offered no adjustment. The happy ending is that I bought a Voyager Select in Maple/Fire that should be here Friday.
Love this forum, by the way.
I am very careful with buying gear from e-bay. Any postings with “No way to test” in the description gets ignored. Any posting with only one view gets ignored, as do obviously stock/reused photos. I will buy something that’s flawed if the seller tells me it is flawed, and shows pics of the flaws. I got a great deal on used .com modules from e-bay following these basic guidelines. ![]()
Now i’d used Ebay for years, some pretty good deals (especially if the synth was’nt working!)
A Memorymoog came up,ran 7-9 days,I won it, guess what? scam! lost all my cash, if you go to sospubs.co.uk I’ve documented the sorry tale on their music website forum. But this guys still active!!
