Saving patches with the sysex librarian

Hi guys

Loving my phatty so far but have come across a problem. I"m using the sysex librarian to save my patches (as recommended by users on this forum), When I save the patch and transmit it via USB to my soundcard/computer, it transfers fine and shows up on the sysex librarian… however…

The next time I use the synth/computer (after having turned both off and on again) when I try and transfer patches from the librarian back to the synth I send them across and the synth says ‘patch received’ or whatever the message is.. however the patch is nothing like it was when I saved it! It may have some basic resemblance in terms of oscilator settings (ie pitch/waveform etc) but the filters and envelopes will be completely different

I’ve lost about 5 great sounds now thanks to this :frowning:

Can anybody help?

What OS is your phatty running?
I haven’t done back and forth with sysex under the new OS.

3.1

I’m open to other suggestions though…

Desperate for help here guys! Anyone?

I keep making awesome sounds but not being able to back them up it’s really holding me back from making the most of my moog.. and that makes me sad :frowning:

Are you saving off and loading patches form the same OS version? Surely if you save something that is 2.x and try and load it back into a 3.x that won’t work. This has to do with the way that memory is managed when new features are squeezed in.

If the same version being used, let me know and I’ll test it on mine (I have a Tribute) running 3.1T (672).

Yeah the phatty OS is 3.1…
