has anyone gotten the plugin to work with Cubase 8? i added the path to the plug-in Manager but when i scan the directory it doesn’t find it. I notice that for all the othe plugins there the .dll file along with a .srf file. For the sub37 plugin there is just a .dll…
I also wasn’t able to get the Cubase VST Plugin to work properly. As done with my other plugins, I just copied the dll files into the default VST folder but Cubase doesn’t seem to recognize any Sub37 plugin. I tried the 32 and the 64Bit versions without any luck.
When I try to load an existing project in Cubase with the VST dlls installed, the Autosense window (which automatically searches for connected hardware by sensing the midi ports) freezes and I have to kill the corresponding process.
bmckeen, can you try rescanning the entire plugins folder from the plugin manager in Cubase ? if Sub 37 Editor appears on the list but isn’t checked, please check it before and then rescan. Thanks !
I will try to describe comprehensibly.
If Cubase was Moog Sub 37 Editor VST Instruments to which you assign a MIDI track in the project, it would be easier than making the VST Effect and the next track as MIDI.
So how does it work in Ableton and I think even in Logic.
I wanted to ask why it works Moog Sub 37 Editor in Cubase VST Effect?
The Editor is not really an instrument as it makes not sound on its own. For how to use it in Ableton see Amos’s Minitaur Editor Ableton tutorial. We may add a VSTi component on the next version.
I understand that the Editor is not really an instrument.
But to work, I think it would be better as an Instrument.
If we manage to add a component VSTi, I’d be happy.
