Routing audio from Logic into Voyager filter

Hi,

I’ve done a search on the forum and couldnt find anything.

I want to send some audio out of Logic 9, into my voyagers filter, then back into logic again.

Only problem is i can’t work out how it’s done.

So far, i’m going out of my outputs 3-4 on my presonus fire studio soundcard, into the ‘Ext Audio In’ in on the voyager. I just don’t get how it works though?

As a side note, when i get that working, i’d like to overdrive the sound (i’ve heard a lot about this and would love to give it a go), so i was also wondering how i overdrive the external audio in the moog?

Any help and advice would really be appreciated,

Thanks

Thats exactly right. Assign which audio you want to go to the external input to specific audio outputs of your audio interface. Then put that into the external input on the voyager.

Make sure that the external input switch is turned on and the other oscillators/noise are turned off. Switch the KB/Gate switch to external and make sure the filter is all the way open. Now you should be able to hear the audio from the computer on the voyager outputs.

Turn the external mixer up to taste. The higher you turn that up, the more overdrive you get in the mixer inputs which will cause distortion.

If you want to send triggered notes to the voyager which will activate the envelopes, you’ll have to send it a midi note on at the same time using MIDI. Then you can get some filter sweeps automated by the envelopes…

Hope that helps.

Perfect! Got it working a great.

Thanks!
