Well, to anticipate one fact before Ill start telling about is, that the lowest footage on the Rogue/T2 is definitively 16" and NOT 32" The mark on the top panel nearby the toggle switch, 32", is wrong. I dont know what Moog intended then in the early days, but with this all customers and users are misleaded.
The T1 hasn`t any marking on the panel but also has a lowest footage of 16" and this is notified in the schematics.
Through the years and decades I always missed SO MUCH to play deeper notes as the two instruments allow but dindn`t know how to make a change.
Now my tech as a genious found pretty simple ways to proceed on both instruments to lower the whole footage one octave below.
As I announced I did the mod recently on my T2 and after the work was done I really felt blown away.
Its really, really PHANTASTIC to be able to play now one octave deeper than before, and be able to switch back to the original footage if needed. Its a really new dimension and an extraordinary inspiration too for making the music I like.
I claim, that after the mod all three items will have got a new value, I`d say they´re double valued as for the extraordinary extended function to be able to go one ctave deeper to the now REAL 32",
When I met my neighbours yesterday outside they asked me how I could succeed to put an aeroplane with twelve propeller engines into my living-room after I tested the new result through my PA the day before.
They really turned pale in their faces when they talked to me.
I don*t know if its the same bulls***t also with the T3 and the Minitaur to have only 16" as the lowest, but that would be really a pitty and NOT difining a BASS Instrument as it should be. I really can understand people who also want to play on pedals 4" or 2", but when having a bass istrument it should be a MUST to have the real 32". (??????) I dont know what those Moog guys had been thinking about…
