Reviving the Lyra and Apollo...

Hi,

How many of you Moog fanatics have an interest in bringing back the development of the Lyra monophonic and Apollo polyphonic synthesizers that were to be part of the Constellation group of synths Moog planned to release in 1974?

The Lyra never really had a proper production replacement (would the Multimoog, Minitmoog or Satellite be the closest to the Lyra?); although the Apollo did get reworked into the Polymoog Synthesizer (arguably the best of the two versions), released in 1975 along with the first production Taurus bass pedal synth.

From what I’ve read the Lyra was pretty much a beefed up MiniMoog more modulation routing and a pressure sensitive keyboard. The Voyager pretty much does all of that :slight_smile:
