I tried to update my unit to the REV2 OS using Sysex Librarian following the directions as posted, and now my unit will only play the C5 note across all keyboard keys. The knobs don’t seem to have any effect on the sound now either. I tried to do the update numerous times, using both USB and MIDI DIN to transfer the sysex information, and it still is stuck playing just the high C5 note. Any suggestions on what I can try or is this something I need to send in and get repaired?
What happened is that the external pitch-CV input calibration has gotten corrupted; I’m not sure why but I know that re-calibrating the external input will fix it.
email techsupport at moogmusic dot com and ask them for instructions on how to re-calibrate the pitch CV input; they’ll get you sorted.
Thanks for the reply Amos, I actually decided to retry the update process last night using the latest 2.0.4. beta you had posted in another thread, and that seem to restore my unit back to normal working order thankfully. Should I still try the recalibration process, or am I fine now?
if you’re good, you’re good. I wouldn’t fool with it at this point.
Possibly there was an issue with the previous firmware such that it was expecting the calibration values to be in a different location in memory… and the latest update is “pointing to” the correct location for the calibration data that was already in there.
In any event, I’m happy to hear that things are back as they should be…
