I’m not really getting good results here…the signal is really, really low, and turning up the drive quickly introduces distortion. Recording and then bumping up the gain on the recording sounds terrible. Any tips?
What gear are you using to record? If you’re using analog equipment, run the MuRF through a keyboard amp and use a microphone hooked up to the tape deck to capture the sound. Or, run the amp through to the tape deck. Hope this helps. When I record stuff, I use Garage Band on my Macbook in conjunction with the Blue Microphones Snowball USB mic placed close to my amp. ![]()
Oh really? I’m just running it into a mixing board and then into a sound card. Recording from an amp…well, I’m trying to record it in stereo, to get that nice ping-pong effect…I was just trying it again and getting slightly better results, but it’s just awfully noisy, and still not very loud. Perhaps it’s just something that needs to be carefully finessed?
Better results now, switching keyboards to the LP…wonder why? Everything else is the same…
That IS strange…huh. I dunno what else to say. Well, good luck! Sounds like you’ll need it! ![]()
I think it’s just a question of messing w/ it sufficiently…
