RECOMMEND SEQUENCER FOR MOOG PRODIGY

Hey,

I’m pretty new to the analog synth world so just looking for some advice. I’ve got one of the early Moog Prodigys that doesn’t have CV/Gate, I’m looking into getting CV, gate and filter sockets fitted by Kenton http://www.kentonuk.com/products/items/sockets/moog/prodigy.shtml as I want to hook up a sequencer. Is there any sequncer anyone could recommend? I’ve read that different makes of synths and sequencers sometimes have problems connecting via CV/Gate.

I’ve been looking at a Step 64 http://www.mfberlin.de/Produkte/Musikelektronik/MFB-STEP64/MFB-STEP64_e/mfb-step64_e.html can anyone shed any light onto if this would work with my Prodigy?

Thanks

Make a search on “MFB Step 64”…that will give you already some user info.

The Frostwave Fat Controller is a very simple sequencer and has a pair of CV outputs and a pair of gates. It can run up to 16 steps or as two banks of up to eight steps. Has MIDI in/out and DIN sync too so it can control old Roland stuff. Discontinued but built pretty solidly. They come up every now and then on Ebay.
