RA Moog FFB on the bay...

Someone has also split up a 55 and selling the cabinet and the CP modules.
Theres also a Melodia Theremin, Keyboard Mixer, and of corse, the Andy Moog Jerseys and auto parts.

sold as is.
3000+ for let’s see: 3 prints, that’s 1000 euch, that for every resistor and capacitator…
isn’t it a bit ridiculous ?
maybe moog should release the fixed filterbank again ( as well as the param eq and..and.. ) , at nowadays prices it should be possible to sell some

Those inductors are pretty much 100% copper…have you priced copper lately?

I agree that if Moog was going to release modules, it should be those that aren’t regularly cloned. There is no longer anyone making a filter bank that is an exact clone. Im not going to hold my breath though.

I was wondering if anyone was going to say anything about the tag on the FFB. Has anyone ever seen the tag ike that before?

Man it’s like all of his synth gear looks like crap.

The seller is an actor, film director, composer, etc.
A jack of all trades, master of none type artist.
According to the IMDB, his most famous film had an estimated $10 mil budget, but just a $50K opening weekend and made only $365,734.
It received 4.9 stars.
It’s not just his synth gear…

The same seller also has this listing…

I totally didn’t look at the seller! I know who you are talking about. So thats really him huh?

His previous film, before the one you mention here, was more popular (7.3 stars according to IMDB) and also more profitable (grossing close to 2.4 Mil for a 1.5 Mil estimated budget). But EricK is right, all his synth gear looks like crap…
Oh well, at least his 18 year old car looks nice…

Well at least he doesn’t disappoint in terms of rarity.
It’s not common to find a manual shifter in such a sedan.

is a laboratory on the back at the picture of the modular system, or the remainance of a long happy evening with friends ?
i really wonder who is the man…

Those were awesome basses back in the day. This one has been restored, and he’s charging LESS than Kenosha Music-Go-Round! (They had one a couple years ago…it sold for 10k, and was in MUCH worse shape). It seems this guy has more money than brains when it comes to being a collector/reseller. To his credit, the XJS not ONLY has the more reliable 5-speed, but also the much better inline 6! Unfortunately, it’s still a British made Jag, known for stalling and not being able to restart if the humidity is above 70%.

Vincent Gallo is the guy’s name.

thank you all !
if i would have a lot of money , maybe, but most likely it would be spend on a cotk-modular.

way too much money for these “left over parts of the old sys 55”
worst thing is: someone probably is going to buy it thereby blowing up the buble even more

anyway looking forward to some nice hours this evening playing some model-d and voyager for a new cd..

What you’re seeing are this seller’s cast-offs. I know people speculate on this guy’s worth and income, but he seems to do quite well in real-estate, music and movies. He has a stunning collection of near-mint instruments and cars and homes. Seeing the ebay stuff is like judging someone’s quality by their garbage - these are the things he doesn’t keep. Last I heard, he had 8 full Moog P-cabinets, all 1960s R.A.Moog modules in excellent condition, and other synths and Mellotrons/Chamberlins. Wonderful stuff.

Ebay prices - this is also an old game many dealers and stores (Gtr Center vintage rooms) play: you price something WAY too high, then negotiate down to something that is very high, once you’ve filtered out who the seriously interested customers are. When you have to deal with every lookie-loo and tire-kicker trying to trade for your rare stuff, it keeps away the nonserious parties.

I think it really creates an unnecessary scarcity to run through systems plucking them of their clean gems instead of taking the time to get them serviced properly.

Not that this guy does that, but it could be likely.
