Questions on Voyager RME

Contemplating buying the Moog Voyager RME.

I would like to use it together with my Yamaha piano midi clavinova 560 keyboard, which doesn´t have pitch- or modulation wheels.
Interestingly, I read in the manual that the HP->MOD-WHEEL function allows me to program the headphone volume knob to act as a modulation wheel controller.

  1. Is this midi-programmable, ie if I turn the headphone volume knob, can I record the modulation as a midi signal in my sequencer?
  2. Can I use this knob as a modulation wheel for other synths (for example VST-synths) as well?
  3. If I make this setting (that the headphone volume act as a modulation wheel) and turn the RME off, will the RME remember this setting the next time I start the RME?

One last question:
4) Is the Soundtower Moog Voyager editor compatible with win 7 64 bit?

Thanks!

Tested with my RME:
Question 1: No
Question 2: No
Question 3: Yes
Question 4: Maybe - I don’t have the editor.

Don’t have the Voyager, but if the Soundtower editor is anything like the LP’s Soundtower editor was a couple years ago, it’s not compatible with ANYTHING.

Thanks for the help guys.

Hey, thank you for this post. I did notknow about the headphone trick, it was fun to use!

I have the editor running on W7 x64.
