question about the Rate values

When adjusting the Arp Rate for patches or for example the Rate for the “Wowowow Bass” I’m a little puzzled by the values those parameters use..

not sure what this is exactly supposed to be

shows values like

wh
/ 8
/ 8T
/ 16
/ 16T

etc… this is definitely different than the Integer value that is clearly indicated in pg 17. I can intuit that it is referring to whole, half, quarter notes etc… but I don’t see why it is like so instead of just a straight numeric value, because I can hear the rate varying within the values shown in the LCD…

It should be Whole note, eighth note, eight note triplet, sixteenth note, and sixteenth note triplets. I’ve seen it shown this way on other synths.

If it were shown numerically, I think there would be more opportunity for confusion. Would it be shown as a division or number of PPQN? As a percentage of the bar?

Ok, then how does it determine the BPM?

Set by the MIDI clock, right?

In Advanced Preset, go to MIDI Clock and set it to Int. You should now have a rate rather than a tempo.

Actually this has given me an idea for a feature request.

Yes if you see a “division” type number it means the arp clock is set to MIDI sync. In this case the actual BPM is set by your MIDI clock source.

For internal clock, yes it would be a nice addition to allow a BPM display. This is certainly within the realm of do-ability.
