QUESTION ABOUT TEMPO

Howdy y’all.

I got my LP three days ago, and I’m having a ball.
It’s all really easy to use, and sounds FANTASTIC.
This is my first Moog and I’m having a great time with it.

My question is, is there a way to set the internal tempo of the LP without having to tap it? As in just twist the “value” knob or something to set the tempo manually?

Thanks.
Happy 2009!

James

The LFO rate adjusts the tempo of the arp. Is that what you’re asking?

What I mean is, on the Stage 2, when you hold down the LFO RATE it enables the tap tempo. On the LED screen it displays the bpm, and changes as I tap it at different intervals.

I’m asking if there is a way to edit the displayed BPM without having to tap it in, say, if I needed an exact tempo. When I twist the LFO RATE knob, it changes tempo, but I can’t actually see what that tempo is on the screen.

Ah. No, I don’t think there’s a way to do that. Perhaps someone at Moog or another user could confirm? I couldn’t find anything in the manual and I sure as heck tried everything I could come up with.

That’s alright then. I can always use a midi clock to do it…
Thanks anyway!

You could dial in a tempo you want, and then save your preset. That way you will have your desired tempo when you open a patch.

Ah, I get it now.
The arpeggiator has to be on, and you can turn the dial on the LFO Rate to change the tempo…
Thanks for the help!

That’s kinda almost what I said, but not quite. Darn my explanation deficiency.
