Question about preset lights on Sub Phatty

Greetings – first time poster (and as of yesterday, owner of a lovely Moog Sub Phatty!) with a quick question.

I’ve noticed that whenever I change any settings while in “Preset/Patch” mode, the preset light (specifically, any in the the right-hand column of lights) dim slightly. This only happens when I change settings that are save-able. Changing headphone volume, fine tune, etc… has no impact on the brightness of the lights.

I’m checking to see if this is by-design (to indicate that preset parameters have been changed, perhaps?), or if there is something amiss with my new Sub. It’s really just a visual thing, as the sound is outstanding, but as I’m sure most of you can understand, I want to make sure my one-day old machine isn’t up to something fishy.

(I tried calling Moog three times this afternoon, but it must have been a busy day there, as I couldn’t get anyone on the line – I figured this was the next best thing!)

your Sub is perfectly fine. It does this so that you know you are no longer on totally matched to the saved preset. it’s actually a nice feature. you can still see which preset you are tweaking, but know that something is different from what is saved. if you hit that patch button again, then it will take you back to the saved settings.

Perfect! Thanks for the confirmation, modoc_333! I’m loving the sounds coming out of this thing!
