this is my first time of trying this but i’m not getting any success. I want to send some audio from Logic Pro, into the moog, and record it back into logic pro.
I have got a stereo output (outs 5-6) from my interface going into the ‘ext audio in’ socket on the voyager, then the output jacks on the voyager going into inputs 5-6 on my interface.
In logic i have the channel with the audio on set to ‘output 5-6’ and the channel i’m recording on set to ‘inputs 5-6’ with ‘R’ enabled.
I’m just not getting any signal back. I have the moog set on external, the knob turned up, Can;t figure it out!
Are you summing the outputs, or just using one of the stereo outs? I have found in logic that for these types of in/out configs, the utility plug in called I/O works best.
Ah interesting, well i planned to go out through outputs 5-6 on my interface, into the audio in jack on the back of the moog. But i like the idea of the utility I/O plugin, that’s how i use my moog now in logic, on an instrument channel with the utility I/O plugin.
Well I think you need a mono out, so set whatever audio you are sending to mono out if you are using stereo material. Or if you are using multiple tracks at different times sent to the voyager, use an aux bus. There are many ways to do it, but for me, I like to keep tracks and busses to a minimum so I would use I/o. But again the input on the Moog is mono if I recall correctly. And there are 2 outs so you want to go mono out of the interface and stereo back in.
