i am trying to use my machinedrum as a seqencer for the voyager, though it seems very random, in that sometimes it will not play any notes for a few seconds, which of course shouldnt be happening. as well as it just doesnt sound like its being seqenced correctly like it does on my waldorf pulse. any suggestions???
OK, the Voyager is no drum machine ![]()
There’s a fix in version 3.4 for that and you should load the newest version.
Try the sequence when Multitrigger is selected in the EDIT menu page 3.4 and select Last Key in keyboard modes on page 3.3.
Maybe this fixes your problem.

most likely your drum machine is sending out more then one note at a time. And the Voyager is monophonic. So it is playing only one note at a time.
The Waldorf Pulse and the Voyager both can use different keyboard trigger modes. Try them (as Rudi wrote) to get the result you get from the Pulse (note trigger wise).
You can use multiple trigger to get a new note on each time a new note is received via midi. Even if the note before is not yet finished. because drum machines do not really use the length of a note at all, there is a chance, that they do overlap to much for the single trigger setting of the Voyager.
And when several notes are played at athe same time, the Voyager and all other monophonic synth have to decide which note to play. This is the note priority setting. The low note setting will play always the lowest not received. This is the classic Minimoog style. The highest note riority is always playing the … (guess it).
And the last note just plays the note pitch of the very last note information it receives.
