Problem with MIDI and repeated notes

Hi,

I have a problem using Cubase 5 to sequence my Slim Phatty - if the same note is repeated twice or more in a row, some of the notes will randomly drop out. For example, if I’m playing a sequence that’s all 8th notes, and I have the same note twice in a row, the second note won’t always play.
The notes aren’t overlapping, they’re precise 8th notes.

I’ve tried a few things:

  1. Turned off legato (set it to “reset”) for the patch - doesn’t help.
  2. Tried both DIN MIDI and USB - same issue. No MIDI loops going on either.
  3. Tried the same cubase sequence with various VST and other hardware synths - all notes play fine.
  4. Shortening the length of the 8th notes so they don’t touch each other - this seems to solve it, but is not the sound I’m going for and seems like a strange workaround.

Any ideas?
I really love this synth, but in the few months I own it I seem to be having WAY too many issues (strange midi glitches, tuning issues, grounding issues, etc.) Really dissapointing.
