Problem with dry signal / Mix on 104z delay......HELP

Hi everyone…I could use some help/ advice

The mix control on my 104z delay seems to be on the fritz…

With the MIX knob turned all the way down, the dry and wet signals are at equal volume. If i turn the MIX knob clockwise, the dry signal goes down - but I can’t get the wet signal any quieter.

This problem was happening intermittently at first, but now seems to be consistent (I’ve tried unplugging things, etc.)

Oddly enough, if I plug my MOOG EP-2 expression pedal into the MIX jack, I regain control over the mix and can turn down the wet signal.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions / advice!

How long have you had it

I bought the pedal in mid June (2008)…

Just a hunch from what others have said, but take off the right panel and see if there are pins touching the metal casing. If not, are they really close? If so, carefully trim them down with wire clippers. Also check for bad solder joints around the offending knob. As a last resort, e-mail Amos. He will know something I don’t.

Don’t do all that lol, thats for an intermittant negate of the feedback circuit.

perhaps a ring is shorted out or something, I really don’t have that kind of expertise.

Id call the company though.

Please keep us posted.

Eric

I’m thinking bad solder joint on the MIX pot if the pins have nothing to do with it.
