ok, so in the desperation of trying to figure out my filter problem:

(please, somebody help!)
…i’ve decided that maybe i should DL and install this OS 3.4 upgrade. I use Pro Tools, and my only midi interface options are Pro Tools based (i have a 003, 002, and mbox 2). however, i read on the Voyager page “We recommend NOT using ProTools MIDI Interfaces, or any MIDI interface that sends MIDI Active Sensing messages”. how much of a problem is this? am i not able to upgrade my OS without a headache / new midi interface?
also, should i only use the editor / librarian 3.4 with OS 3.4? should i go for the earlier version of the editor instead if i’m not using 3.4 (ie. if i can’t update using a pro tools interface)???
Hi - I used my mbox 2 as the midi interface and it worked fine. Maybe what they mean is to not use the protools software, but I just used the mbox as the interface and used sysex, which you can download for free- i think the website is snoize.com… But I wondered about this statement to - maybe someone from Moog can clarify?..
well crap. i just tried this, and it most definitely didn’t work. whenever i try to send the update (starting with bank b) it appears to load about 75% of the way on the voyagers LCD screen and then i get a message that says “system exclusive transfer has failed”. i’ve tried this a few times now and same thing every time.
ok, so i did manage to get this to update finally with the help and advice of SoundTower support who suggested i unplug the midi out from the voyager while i am sending in sysex. this worked, and i am now back up and running.
unfortunately, this did not seem to fix my filter envelope problem, which is the real problem i was hoping to fix with the software upgrade.
Try sending smaller batches of file size or reduce the speed.
That could help. Play around with the preference of sysex program.
