Oh cool, so 4ths above and below my 6-String.. I’ve often thought about if I was to get more extended range than 6-String, I’d probably go for 8 in that exact tuning (or 7 without the high F). I just wonder how the low F# will handle producing such low notes (B or drop A is already pretty low) and if amplification would be a problem - actually I think I have that last part covered!
Looks sorta like a tap stick (Chapman stick, Warr guitar, etc.)
What was it advertised as?
I have several friends that play tap sticks.
Takes some talent to play one well.

Its a 3/4th scale 8 string electric upright bass. It seemed like it was actually going to be straightforward to play, but unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to tune it up. I had my heart set on learning a German style Arco technique, but that will have to wait.
Ive decided to just wait until I can get a carved upright.
