Oh cool, so 4ths above and below my 6-String.. I’ve often thought about if I was to get more extended range than 6-String, I’d probably go for 8 in that exact tuning (or 7 without the high F). I just wonder how the low F# will handle producing such low notes (B or drop A is already pretty low) and if amplification would be a problem - actually I think I have that last part covered!

I’m sad to hear the transaction didn’t go well..

Ah, UPS strikes again! :imp:

I really don’t like you right now.

Kitchenaide Dishwasher… Oh music toys…

Event Opals GREAT sounding monitors, very clear, very detailed.

Before the Opals, MF108

(as if I needed it…)

Everyone needs a whitewash Voyager! Especially me, so if you really don’t need it, I’ll gladly take it off your hands!

Sexiest thing since Marisa Miller. How much did that set you back??? I was daydreaming about that exact color Voyager for literally over an hour.

Nova Musik has some great deals. If I had an extra 3k, I’d get a whitewash OS.

Back to Earth guys. I got this, used:

…a bit after I got this, one of the last producted at the moment, I guess:

… which is somehow coexists with this one I purchased new a few weeks before:

hmm, let’s see . . . last 3 purchases, oh right.

sorry, money’s a bit tight here in a seasonal-based beach town economy, but I still stand by my purchase!

Looks sorta like a tap stick (Chapman stick, Warr guitar, etc.)
What was it advertised as?

I have several friends that play tap sticks.
Takes some talent to play one well.
Here’s a YouTube video of my good friend Randy Strom playing one:

erm…it was right around $3.5K, pains me to say. But (I justify to myself), it comes with a LOT of extras.

Glad ya like the color! It was definitely whitewash cabinet, but I was really close to getting the indigo backlights…

So, around 11 Moog Financial Units…not so bad if ya look at it that way, huh?

…hahaha!

Kevin,
Its a 3/4th scale 8 string electric upright bass. It seemed like it was actually going to be straightforward to play, but unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to tune it up. I had my heart set on learning a German style Arco technique, but that will have to wait.

Ive decided to just wait until I can get a carved upright.

Music-Go-Round sometimes has carved uprights, but if you don’t have one near you, shipping is quite costly from them. :open_mouth:

Filtered, we can hang out anytime!

Last major purchase was a dental crown milled from cubic zirconium.

“Boxes with knobs” (as my wife refers to them)- wise was a 108M.
