Possibe MF-103 LFO Amount Issues

I bought a used MF-103 this summer and over all I have been loving it but there is some thing that is bugging me about it. The LFO amount knob (and its corresponding cv input) does not seem to be working right. I first noticed that there seems to be no difference between the “stun” and “kill” settings. The more I messed around with the MF-103 I noticed that the usable range of the LFO amount knob was only from the 2 to 6 position (and using the cv input gives the same result). It is like the LFO amount has a way too aggressive logarithmic response. Is this normal for all MF-103’s or is my unit malfunctioning?

The phaser will work differently with different source materials. What are you running through it?

Sometimes I feel like there’s limited effect with the phaser, then I change up the sound I’m running through it and it really comes to life.

Thanks for your reply. I am running A voyager, minibrute, and modular synth through it. I also usual put it at the end of my audio chain, right after my MF-104m.

Speaking of the MF -104m the lfo amount control seems much more responsive with the entire 0 to 10 range being usable. This fact is another thing that got me wondering if my MF-103 lfo amount control was being wonky.

Solved my problem, it turns out my power supply was not putting out enough voltage. One day I accidentally switch my MF-104 power supply with my MF-103 and that solved the problem. Curious as to why this happened I re-read the manual an found a passage which states: “The MF-103 works satisfactorily on +10 to +15 volts DC and uses 100 milliamperes of current. Note that most power adapters that are rated at +9V DC will actually produce +10 to +11 volts.” I borrowed my friends multimeter and found my MF-103’s power supply was actually only supplying about 9 volts instead of the required 10 volts.
