I’ve been messing about with the env out from the 101 into different inputs on the 105b with a mono patch cable (TS I think it gets classed as).
Would using a TRS cable make the env out work in a similar fashion to an expression pedal where it would control the amount of the given parameter (eg: mix) in relation as to how much the envelope was taking effect (if you know what I mean) & is it possible to use just ordinary stereo jack to jack cables or should the ring not be connected full stop?
In my experiences a regular TS cable works the same as a TRS but if you use the a TRS or EP1/2 with a TS cable they will ground eachother out and you will not get any CV control. So I would just invest in the TRS cables to make things easier in the long run
I’ve been messing around with that recently… for CV control, and an added expression pedal, you do need a TRS cable…
If you are trying to sync the envelope to control the trigger or LFO rate of the MuRF, then you should use a Y cable with a TRS end into the tap / step and two TS females - one is for LFO rate sync, and the other is for step sync… you would connect the ENV CV out to one of the females in the Y cable for the desired effect - which is freaking sweet!!
