I don’t have the original box for my Phatty, and I need to ship it.
Any tips on how best to accomplish this to reduce the risk of damage?

I wouldn’t trust anything but the official road case or better…but I’m a bit overprotective with my synths. 
Bubble wrap the Phatty, and box it tightly. Then, put that box into another, larger box, with more bubble wrap. Make sure nothing rattles. Good luck.

Several inches of bubble wrap inside the inner carton and no movement.
I have shipped a Fantom-G8 inside it’s original box without any problem, just by adding the bubble wrap and a lot of inner carton, like others described.
Remember that the G8 is ultra-heavy (something like 33kg)!
Well, Moog shipped it that way in the first place so I suppose it’s was good enough?
