I bought a slim phatty last week and was wondering if it is possible to reset the oscillator with a note ON. This is possible for the LFO, but i can’t find it for the (sound producing) oscillator. In my virus it is called osc phase init. I can let the oscillator run freely, but also set it’s start phase so i can get tight bass notes with same attack sound every time i play a note.
If I remember right, this is possible on the minitaur, so i thought the slim phatty should have this too…
I find the forum very hard to search and i can’t find it in the manual. But maybe an OS update on the slim phatty added this feature? I can’t find changelogs either…

Hi, unfortunately this phase-reset of the VCO is a hardware feature; there’s no way to add it with firmware alone. Minitaur, Sub Phatty, and Sub 37 all have this feature, and probably all future synths as well (since it’s so useful) – but Moog instruments designed prior to Minitaur can’t do it.
