Do you think that the Voyager OS will have a longer lifespan than the units with the digital implementation?
Lets say for some reason that THe Voyager was no longer in production and the operating system was no longer supported. Midi is obsolete. 50 years in the future, do you think that the voyager with the operating systems will be able to operate as long as the ones without?
Just curious.
And…does Moog have any plans to make panel charts for the OS?
At the rate we’re going, the most advanced instrument 50 years from now will be a blade of grass stretched between your fingers or maybe a jawbone to tap on a rock for a beat.
Patch template pages (i.e. ‘panel charts’) are included in the back of the User’s Manual, along with sample patches.
FYI: Moog will be offering a Patch Book for the Voyager OS (similar to the original Minimoog Patch Book) that will include patches specifically developed for the OS, as well as selected patches adapted from the Voyager Factory Banks.
