I was messing around with pot mapping and I thought, it would be pretty cool if I could just turn the knob that I want to be assigned to the source and dest. knob. Does that make sense? It seems fairly easy to program even though I don’t anything about programming. Anyone?

I agree it’s a good idea, however.
Nice idea.
But if you have used the knobs before on the sound for editing and then would turn it to tell which knob you would like to assign (the movement it self would not be used to change the parameter value of this knob), then this knob would produce a big jump in the parameter if it need to be twisted before the sound is saved. So you might loose good sounds this way.
This concept would make way more sense on a synth with rotary encoders.
I wish my Waldorf Q had something like this for its modulation matrix.
