Hello, I am new to the community and am seeking assistance in a minor issue I am dealing with.
I have a Voyager RME and a Sub 37 I am trying to use at the same time, along with Ableton Live.
Here are my goals:
I would like to be able to control the tone of each separately, as well as automation of both devices at the same time.
I would also like to use both of the max for live devices for the voyager and sub37 to be able to recall presets upon automation change in session view.
I would like to be able to play both the rme and the sub 37 at the same time with the keys.
This is proving challenging. I have gotten real close to getting this to work, after spending hours in the menus in both devices with different midi routings.
Right now I have it set up with midi leaving sub 37 with usb. USB only sending midi to ableton.
Then I am using a babyface to send midi i/o to voyager. then using the Thru off the voyager to send clock messages and midi tracks back to the sub.
Is this optimal?
Everything seems pretty good, except I somehow keep controlling the sub 37 with the knobs on the voyager, and cant really record any automation.
Should I just get a usb midi box with like 2+ midi i/o or is there some way i can make this work?
Sorry for such a noob question if this is too easy for some of you.
I really appreciate your time and energy to help me through this.
Thank you so much!
