Odd behaviour on Moog Source S-TRIG input

I noticed something odd: when I plug in a cable to the Source’s S-TRIG input nothing happens. If an arpeggio is running, it just keeps on going like before. On my Polysix, which also uses S-TRIG, if an arpeggio is running and I plug in a cable it stops and awaits an external clock signal.

Does this mean there is something wrong with the S-TRIG input on my Source?

I’m trying to sync a BOSS DR-110 drum machine to the Source but they are not communicating. The DR-110 uses V-TRIG, but I have a V → S converter and it’s still not working. I can sync my Polysix to the DR-110 without problems, with or without the converter.

UPDATE: When using the V-Trig → S-Trig converter something actually happens. When I plug the cable in I get a long sustained note playing on the Source even if I’m not pressing any key. If I engage a beat on the drum machine the envelopes on the Source get triggered and I get a pulsating sound that follows the tempo of the drum machine. If I try to run an arpeggio on the Moog it still does not follow the tempo of the drum machine though.

SOLVED!

For future reference, here is the procedure:

In order to synchronize the arpeggio on a Moog Source to an external clock an S-TRIG signal has to be fed into the “RESET IN” input and all the pins on the “SYNC IN” DIN input have to be shorted. To create the short I inserted a MIDI cable to the SYNC IN input and connected each pin to one another with a piece of wire on the other end of the cable.

This worked perfectly on my Source, which is a later model with a slightly different input configuation than the earlier models.
