Also is it too late to join the party at Moogfest? I’ve got all kinds of stories to tell including my work with Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder

Just checked out the NPR story an thought: ‘meh…’. 1980? I’ve got a Kurzweil 250 in my living room that does that. Had a Mirage when I was a young man and of course, I remember the software automatic mouth; in my mind that is in the same bucket as the 1541 rendition of ‘bicycle built for two’.

But the article from the mid 70’s is the real gem. I had access to the VAX housed within Brookhaven National Lab; looking back now, it was ancient. Hard to imagine how you squeezed enough cycles out of a PDP8 unless the 1980 demo was on a faster box; I think I heard you say something like 44,000 pieces of information; not sure if that was a simple 8 bit sample @ 44k or something else.

But thanks for showing up and sharing.
