You only need to pre-install the Windows driver (if using Windows). Latest firmware 1.1.16 is inclusive. Let us know if you had a smooth install, Thanks!
I have installed the latest 1.1.16 FW and the 0.9.37. The installation went completely smooth on my studio computer! I will now test it inside Live 9.6
It seems that its a case of ‘seek and ye shall find’ but this thread is the thread to follow I think if you want the latest beta firmware and editor.
Editor so far has proven to be very useful, the speed at which you can create new patches, name them, save them is light years better than using the lcd screen on the sub 37. I’m going to go to 1.1.16 next and make sure I have current editor installed.
Cheers,
Bill.
Firmware updater stops at 50% and now my unit is stuck with all lights on and a blank screen. Restarting doesn’t fix it. Can someone please tell me how to fix my Sub 37?
Did you install the driver before running the updater ?
Do the following:
Disconnect synth
Uninstall the moog USB driver from “Programs and Features” in Control Panel
Manually delete “moogusbmidi_x64.sys” and “moogusbmidiks_x64.sys” under “C:\Windows\System32\drivers”
Reinstall the moog USB Windows driver
Connect your synth via USB. Once recognized by the system, on Device Manager make sure there’s no error shown for the installed driver.
Power off your Sub 37
Load the 1.1.16 updater
Once the Sub 37 is recognized by the installer, turn Cutoff and FineTune to minimum position, turn Pitch up and while holding it turn the synth on. Keep Pitch up until the updater starts the update
If it’s getting stuck again, download MIDI-OX and load and send the 4 syx files provided with the updater zip file manually, step 1 to step 4, in sequential order.
I am having issue installing the midi driver.
win7 64bit
It gets through the installation but when I plug the sub37 in via usb it says device driver failed to install and has an exclamation mark next to the moog driver in the device manager.
I’m quoting from the readme file provided for the beta:

If the USB driver does not work or has any errors, you may need to install the specific Windows Update which enables SHA2 code signing. Below are some helpful links to resolve this:
And if all else fails you can delete all the Windows Update temporary files, (located in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore and C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore), reboot Windows, and run Windows Update again, telling it to check online for new updates. This should find any missing updates for you to install.
There is another version of the driver (v2.23.0) which is supposed to install without having these updates required. We are still not sure how well it should work, so at this point please stick to 3.30.0.
