Hi, Gil!

Fix #414: Mismatch between items selected as PGM DEST and what actually appears on synth

If this has to do with the LFO DutyCycle and LFO Phase destinations,
then they’re still there in the Sequence Mod Destination menu.

0.9.33

And… we can drag multiple presets around in the Hardware Presets column on the Librarian page. Verrrry cool! Thank you!

I wiped my Moog Music Inc. folder, to simulate a completely new install.

When a regular user installs the stand-alone application, the user has to authorize the installation by giving the administrator id and password.

Several folders are created by the installer in the user’s Library/Application Support directory. These items are owned by the installer, not the user. The top-level directory is also wide-open to the world (mode 777 for us old-time UNIX guys).

The ownership and permissions prevent the user from doing anything:

  • cannot rename folders and presets
  • cannot make new folders
  • cannot save presets into the folders
  • cannot save hardware presets from the machine into Hardware bank
  • cannot change or save preferences

TEST:

  • In the editor, go to the Librarian page.
  • Select the Factory Presets folder and rename it.
  • Nothing happens - the name is not changed and there is no error.

TEST:

  • Right click on an empty section of the Preset Folders column
  • Select New Folder from the popup.
  • Enter some folder name, press return.
  • Nothing happens, same as before.

The Presets Library folder contains Factory Presets for some other model (a Taurus I’m guessing). The Factory Presets.zip file is still there, too (see previous image).

This has been a source of confusion, and has generated many questions in this Forum: a Factory Presets folder that looks empty in the Editor, but which has lots of wrong-sized files when you look at it from the OS X Finder.

If the user already has a Sub 37 folder structure, the installer overwrites and changes ownership of the existing files and directories.

If this is already on the master list, let me know and I’ll let it go.
Thanks!

my pgm source and dest problems have gone away in 9.33
thanks Iain

That’s good to hear, Iain !

Thank you.

Mike,

Thanks for the detailed report. Our developer is checking into this right now.

Gil.
